A healthy Ashton Shumpert rushed for 158 yards on 17 carries and scored two TDs Friday to lead Itawamba AHS to a 33-0 road win at Senatobia.
The 4-star recruit, who transferred back to IAHS (4-0) after two seasons at Tupelo, missed the season’s first three games with an illness. He played his freshman year in Fulton.
“We’re proud to have him back out there,” IAHS coach Toby Collums said. “I know he was happy to be back out there.”
The senior running back opened the scoring with a 32-yard run in the first quarter, then added his second TD on a 10-yard run before halftime.
Defensively, he started at safety and recorded nine tackles, seven solo.
Indians QB Tyler Dossett threw for two TDs to Makel Hamer and Tylon Ward and Charles Moore scored on a 1-yard run.
