FALKNER – The Falkner Eagles had two weeks to think about their first Division 1-1A loss, an 8-point setback to Vardaman. On Thursday night, they made sure they didn’t go into another week with a loss on their minds.
At Eagles Stadium, Falkner trailed 8-7 heading into the fourth quarter against the Coldwater Cougars, but scored a pair of late touchdowns and held on for the 21-14 win.
