Falkner sophomore Jeramie Lawrence had 433 yards on 27 carries with seven touchdowns in a wild 76-40 Division 1-1A win at Biggersville. Quarterback Jase Stroupe had another 18 rushes for 156 yards.
“Those two the last two weeks have carried the load for us,” Ben Ashley said. “(Friday) we jumped out to a 14-9 early lead and may have lost some focus. We turned the ball over three straight drives and found ourselves in a dog fight.”

“We knew they were talented but knew they were 14,” Ashley said. “They’ve played above and beyond. They’re young but all three are really strong and talented and big and can move you.”
Falkner (5-1, 2-1) is looking at nine returners on offense a year from now. Threw for only 12 yards Friday.
“We’ve started clicking a little. I’d like to get better in the pass game but when we’re running for 600 yards, there’s really no point in throwing. It won’t be that easy every week,” Ashley said. “It was just a weird game. We gave up a bunch of points and yards too.”

“We just had to calm down and execute and do the things we do best,” Lawrence said.
