Pontotoc rallied from a 20-0 deficit in the first quarter to defeat Tishomingo County 36-29 in their Division 1-4A game.
The Braves (3-5, 0-2) scored quickly on a 16-yard interception return by Hunter Pounders, an 18-yard pass to Kyle Wood from Trevor Hawkins and on a 92-yard run by Blake Hawkins.
The Warriors fumbled on their first three possessions.
Pontotoc (4-4, 1-1) answered with a pair of 6-yard TD runs by John Hall. Hall’s 4-yard TD run and Tre Freeman’s 45-yard scoring pass from Marcus Reed in the fourth quarter gave the Warriors the winning edge.
Deonte Dilworth, who added a 2-point conversion run for Pontotoc, finished with a game-high 217 yards rushing on 14 carries. Hall added 67 rushing yards on 10 carries.
