North Pontotoc coach Brian Sutton and Lafayette coach Eric Robertson’s teams battle for the No. 2 playoff spot in Division 2-4A tomorrow night.
Lafayette has two losses this season after back-t0-back 16-0 years, at Oxford and at New Albany.
“New Albany may have been a little tougher on us,” Robertson said. “We felt like we let one get away. We had opportunities and had one bad play defensively before the half that gave them a touchdown. The win last week helped our kids. We’re treating this like a playoff game.”
“They’re still Lafayette of course. Their defense has always been pretty salty,” Sutton said.
