For the second straight year, the Baldwyn Bearcats are dealing with a season-ending injury.

Baldwyn (11-0) hasn’t lost a basketball game but the Bearcats lost senior starting point guard Dee Gates to a torn ACL. Gates is done for the year.

“You’re talking about one of the top players in the area. Naturally we’ll have to make adjustments,” Baldwyn coach Jason McKay said. “The thing we’re blessed with here is we have some tremendous basketball players. It’s a matter of everybody stepping it up and doing a little bit more than they’re accustomed to doing.”
